The MRI...

Hello everyone, and a big thank you to everyone who replied to my MRI fear post.

Well, I've had it done and am back home- it was nothing really!

Took 2 mg Valium first, but don't think it had any effect.

I didn't feel the least bit claustrophobic as the scanner was brightly lit and slightly bigger than expected...so was worrying about nothing, phew

Just need the results now...

Thank you! Only got to wait til Friday for appt with consultant, results ( I hope) and a surgery plan...

It's the waiting that's so anxiety producing!

But at least I know not to fear a breast MRI

Good luck with your journey x

Glad it was OK the unknown is always worse than the reality! Good Luck for your results x

It's always not knowing what to expect that's scary, glad your home and ok. Good luck with the results.xxxx

Maybe the Valium did work!!,

Thank you all for replying, maybe you're right and it was the Valium!

I even let a newbie put in the cannula- he was more nervous than me..

Thinking about it-, that scan represents the beginning of a journey, like getting onto a roller coaster with no idea where it's taking you or where it's going to stop.

Am going to start a journal today to see if it gives me some control, and keeps things in perspective.

Big hugs x
