I am having exactly the same on anastrozole. Particularly painful hands, hips, neck, spine and knees. I soak in bubble baths, swim, walk when I can and that's it really. On bad days painkillers. All the best I hope your discomfort reduces greatly xx

Can't get in or out of the bath thank you for you're message x

Hi kenzie0905

Have you mentioned it to your Oncologist or GP can they offer you something else alongside to ease the pain/side effects?

I'm on some pretty strong Meds for another condition & I have to take other Meds to counteract the effects of the first one!

I'm TBNC so don't have any follow up Meds for my Cancer

Hope they can help you or someone can offer you some tips

Best Wishes 💐

Hi .. I have been on letrozole for nearly 7 years .. I think it does ease I still have all the aching & sore joints & muscles but not as bad .. I also have the hot flushes , but I was prescribed Clonadine ( not sure of spelling .. In bed & tables are down stairs 😂) these don't take them away but they are not as bad as what they were before I started with them !! But like all things talk to you GP .. good luck xx

I am feeling exactly the same I am on letrizole since Nov 2015 I returned to work as a chef in April 2016 am now finding it all very difficult

I take letrozole, have done since November 16,and like you everything aches, the hot flushes are worse than ever, but at the end of the day, it's keeping the cancer away,im supposed to be on it for 5 years, I read the posts about letrozole, and it makes me glad it's not my imagination. I have a hot shower in the morning, and if it's bad take paracetamol or ibuprofen, but try to keep them to a minimum, other people say exercise helps, but I ache to much to try, so I walk wherever I can.

(Just remember it's supposed to be helping you stay cancer free or speak to your consultant, to see if you can take something else to relieve your symptoms).

Good luck,and I hope you feel better.xx

i've been on Letrozole since the beginning of November, and am feeling all of the above. It really does get you down at times. Going swimming tonight for the first time since all of this happened so hoping that a good stretch in the pool and a dip in the hot tub may help my aches and pains. I find drinking cold water with the flushes seems to help.

Just been chatting to my cousin who is also on Letrozole she says someone recommended bathing in Magnesium Flakes. She said she has never been a great believer in health supplements but she adds a cupful to her bath every other day and it has really worked. She says she gets them off Amazon as they are cheaper than health stores. I am deff going to give this a try.

Thought I would share In case anyone else wants to give this a go xx

Ahh I feel your pain. I'm exactly the same. Walking up and down the stairs is horrendous. When I've been sat down for a while I really struggle to stand up. All my joints ache, I'm 41 and I have been taking it for 12 months now, previously I was taking tamoxifen but had to have a hysterectomy last November so my consultant changed my medication. I'm sick of the pain, and hope it improves for all of us. x x x
