Hi ladies,

It is one month post op exchange surgery and feeling well. My scars are healing and staying positive.

I would love your opinion:

What works better to heal the scars?

Vitamin E, Coconut Oil, or any suggestions?

Thanks!

Glad to hear you are now one month post op; are your scar(s) all healed? I used Bio Oil but think it's very much a personal preference but the scars must have healed over first.

Do you have to have any further treatment?

Best Wishes πŸ’

Hello,

Thanks for your reply! My scars are healing but my surgeon mentioned it can take up to a year to heal - I have been applying Vit E every night and a scar serum in the am. I am opted out of any other surgeries.

Thanks again

Good to hear. Im just over 3 monrhs and scars doing ok. I had loads of late bruising come out at 6 weeks so be mindful of that should you see any. I had very inflamed scar two weeks ago due to wearing a badly fitting mastectomy bra (pocket not tight enough to secure the prosthetic so it was constantly banging against my chest wall) back to wearing softie until it settles. Hope you continue to recover well x

Bio oil and aloe Vera I believe WA good for me my scar looks great and it's only 3 months post surgery and less than a month after radiotherapy and all looking and feeling good

Simply E45 cream twice a day worked for me and cheap option but only when completely closed.

My surgeon recommended bio oil & I have to say it worked wonders. Couldn't fault it. I also started applying a tiny bit to my face & my fine lines around my eyes are disappearing 😁😁 so I'm a happy camper

My daughter in law & her sister use it on their skin daily, they are from Mauritius & have the most amazing skin πŸ’• so that's why I chose it, it's good on old scars too πŸ’

I am actually going today to buy bio oil but the generic brand at my local pharmacy - people swear by it and says it is better than bio oil. Thanks again for your tips!
