I heard of doctors discouraging the use of cold caps for safety, prevent the chemo from reaching cancer cells in the scalp area. Did you discuss the use of cold caps with your doctor? How did it go?

I added an image in case you don't know what chemo caps are! Credits to the blogger helenfawkes on helenfawkes.wordpress.com/t...

I had no discussion with my Doctor and I hadn't realised the possible safety issues until after my chemo sessions had finished, through my own research into other cancer issues.

I was fully informed by the breast care nurse about the risks associated with the cold cap. I decided not to use the cold cap, not because of the small risk but because it adds extra time to the chemo
