Worst headaches ever

I used to drink very heavy 12 years ago but then stopped for a long time. I then started doing it sensibly until 3 years ago when I stopped to look after my mum who became ill. I was doing fine until last year when I started getting shooting pains up and down the left side of my head which was diagnosed as trigeminal neuralgia. They also found a lesion in my brain stem and I said it was from when I was drinking heavily but I am not sure of this. Is it safe to be walking round with an undiagnosed brain lesion. I have nystagmus, occasional tinnitus and high heart rate. Only the last few days I started seeing double. I’m nervous I’m going to drop dead with this. Or could it all be down to neuralgia? Any help very much appreciated.
