If you've done the test correctly and read it in the time frame, yes this is a positive test. You are pregnant x

But it’s not a thick line

Any line is a positive line, with a pregnancy test the line will only show if the pregnancy hormone hcg is present. If the hormone isn't there it won't show a line at all. It may get darker if you test with your first urine if the day or in a couple of days when your HCG levels rise, but any line is a positive.

Are you sure you read it within the right time frame? The implant is normally very reliable. If you've read it after the time frame, it could be an evaporation line.

I would do another test and time it and only read it within the time frame that are in the instructions.

There's lots of support out there for you so can look at all your options, if you look on the nhs website, there's lots of information on support that's available. nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy...

You can also look at the British Pregnancy advisory website, they can talk to you if you'd like to speak to someone about having an abortion or Marie Stopes website can also help with your options.

Or you can speak to your GP confidentiality.

If you test positive again and want to carry on with the pregnancy, your next step would be to contact your surgery and ask to be put in touch with your community midwife. You might also want to start taking folic acid and vitamin D as these are recommended to take during pregnancy.

Best of luck x

No there is a chance that you could be pregnant, the implant works over 99% of the time but it's not perfect. A lot of times if you read the test after it says to, then you can sometimes get an evaporation line which looks like a positive but isn't.

I can't tell from your photo if you waited the right amount of time, if you know you took that photo within the time frame on the box, then you're pregnant. If the line showed up outside of the time, I'd recommend you do it again and set a timer to make sure you read it within the time on the instructions on the box and use that test to go by. Use your first morning wee as that's when your pregnancy hormone will be strongest and if you're pregnant will get you the most accurate result.
