Bleeding after termination

After having an abortion It has been 2 weeks from today that I am still bleeding is this normal?

Hi, yes it took my body about 4 weeks to get back to normal and very heavy afterwards

I had an abortion on November 2009 and had heavy bleeding until April.

I was freaked out at the time to but was to scared to call the clinic. If you are worried call the hospital where you had the abortion... It will be nothing to worry about but hearing it from a professional sometimes eases the mind.

If you had the medical (tablet) treatment, then it is quite normal to be bleeding for up to 2-3 weeks afterwards. If it is very heavy, or it smells strange, or you feel like you have a fever contact the clinic where you had the treatment and asked to be seen and checked over. Or do call your clinics aftercare number and chat things through with them, so that you are reassured.
