Cold remedy?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of shifting a cold? I'm guessing it's in my sinuses as my cheeks, round my eyes and head aches. I've tried paracetamol but it doesn't really help 😝

Paracetamol is ur best option but u can get vicks nasal things (can't remember the exact name but it's bullet shaped) great for clearing ur sinuses. And warm honey and lemon in water. If it doesn't help speak to ur gp or midwife they're the best people for advice during pregnancy.

Hope u feel better soon. X

I have previously used a saline nasal spray which was great for sinus issues but u should check with the pharmacists that it is pregnancy safe!

I have been fighting blocked sinusses since week 8 till now. Some days / nights it's worse, even had few sinuss headaches :( at boots they said saline / salt water is fine but it did not help me much. I tried Vicks Waporub but that has worked for few hours and then went back to even worse than before (I read that pregnant women should not use too much of essential oils. I tried also facial sauna but did not find anything that helped. So now I just live with it, and thank god it's getting better!

I haven't found much helps either! Thankfully it seems to be easing off now, just need to get rid of the sniffles and headache!

I really hope that you'll feel better very soon! 🙏

However, if you will continue feeling really bad and it does not ease off - the GP said that he could prescribe me antibiotics, but me being very cautious about them / I ruled out that option straight away (unless I would have temperature then I would use them as would not want to harm baby)

Thank you. It feels better than it did earlier in the week. My husband wants me to see the gp but I didn't think there would be anything they could do, so I have comprised and sent a message to our midwife

I am very similar to you - hardly ever go to see GP (mine is rubbish anyway). Reason I went was because I had a migraine then sinus headache and threw up all liquids and food for 3 consequtive days and was worried that baby could suffer :(

Glad you're feeling better! (My midwives are no much help either- I called them up 2x and they suggested to go to see my GP) 😂

Take good care of yourself!x
