I have been getting the worst cramps in the uterus area for over a week, coming in waves and sometimes it can be excruciating. I went to the doctors and tested positive for a pregnancy test and the doctor sent me straight to a&e. Fast forward few hours and the doctor didn't believe it was an eptopic and sent me to see a gynocolagist who also said the chances of it being an eptopic was low. So I'm back in on Thursday for an early pregnancy scan and I'll have my fingers crossed all is okay.
Has any one ever experienced something similar to this?

Cramps and pain are very common in early pregnancy (due to the hormones that hold it in place), and don't always indicate a problem. It is routine to be seen again for an early scan, as that is the only way to know the pregnancy is in the right place, and hopefully everything will be ok. Try not to worry too much.
I had pretty much exactly that. I phoned 111 as I was in agony with cramps and had missed my period but had not (yet) had a positive pregnancy test. I was told to go to A&E who then did a pregnancy test which was positive. They were concerned about ectopic pregnancy so referred me for early scans which showed a normal pregnancy. Try not to worry too much as cramps are very normal.
