Am I pregnant?

I've been taking the pill for the past two years. The other day I left the house early and I completely forgot to take it. I had sex the day before with my boyfriend but he did not cum inside me. As soon as I got home I took the pill, which was about 9 hours later than I normally should take it.

A day later, I was due to stop taking the pill for my period. However, my period is a day late and I still haven't got my period or any signs that my period is coming. Since taking the pill, my period has arrived on the same day and more or less at the same time. I'm incredibly anxious which probably doesn't help the situation.

I'm due to start taking my pill soon - but I haven't had my period. What do I do?

Hi there

A pill is classed as missed when it is more than 12 hours late, as long as you take all the rest of the pack on time, you will be covered. Did you take your 7 day break or did you go straight on to your next pack? As there is only a low risk of pregnancy and to put your mind at rest do a pregnancy test 3 weeks after the missed pill incident. If it comes back negative you are all ok, as long as you re-started your new pack on time and have not missed any since.

I've been there done that ive missed the odd pills mid weeks and never got pregnant! I'm pretty sure you wont be pregnant. i was on the pill for 4 odd years and as long ass you didn't miss your first few pills at the start of the month/cycle i think you will be fine.

i used to sometimes be a few days late on the pill and i was regular too.
