Hi all I had a baby 20 weeks ago - I did a stupid thing - I had sex without protection - I was 3 days into my period (I was more or less finished)

- should I be worried I could be pregnant?

Hi there,

Unless you are fully breastfeeding, fertility can return within a month after giving birth. And while it is unlikely that you would conceive while on your period, it isn't strictly impossible.

Depending on when you had sex, you might be able to use a method of emergency contraception - the EllaOne emergency contraceptive pill and the coil both work up to 5 days after unprotected sex. As I say, it is unlikely that you would conceive while on your period but not completely impossible. Sorry I can't provide any more definitive answers but I hope this helps.
