Missed my injection shot on the 20th of January had unprotected sex on the 18th of February and got emergency contraceptive from the clinic to be taken at 12 hour intervals. Could there be a chance of me being pregnant? What can I do? The wait is killing me. PLEASE HELP ME OUT ASAP!

Hi there

I would say that the chances of you being pregnant are slim because you appear to have done all the right things like taking emergency contraception. I know it is a while away but I would recommend taking a pregnancy test 3 weeks after the date of the unprotected sex. If you find that the initial pregnancy test is negative, you should wait a few days and then take another test to be sure. Or if you are concerned it might be a good idea to go and talk to a health professional for more advice.

I hope this helps

Best wishes

Katherine
