Hi everyone,
We just wanted to let you know that following recent feedback, we’re updating our community guidelines regarding the posting of links to products and sales sites. Our aim is to support meaningful sharing of lived experiences while ensuring the community remains a safe and supportive space.
We have updated the solicitation and sales section of our community guidelines with the following:
“No self-promotion, adverts, or spam are permitted on our forum. In terms of any links shared by users, we do our best to verify these links and will remove any that clearly break our guidelines. Please be aware however, that a link remaining on the forum does not mean it has been verified or endorsed by the Royal Osteoporosis Society. We do not officially endorse or recommend specific products, services or for-profit organisations that may be mentioned by members in our community.
We appreciate that sharing links to products and resources can be helpful to others, which is why we currently allow this unless they breach another part of these guidelines. We encourage you to use your own judgement—especially when considering purchasing a product based on a recommendation or link. If you’re unsure, you may find this guide from the Patients Association useful in deciding what information and websites to trust: patients-association.org.uk... "
Thank you for your continued support in helping our community grow and thrive!
All the best,
Lulu
