Coccyx injury

I was manoeuvring myself out of the car this afternoon and seemed to put a lot of pressure on my coccyx on the very edge of the seat. It feels quite sore now when I sit. I'm worried I could have crushed it. Is that possible?

Has anyone had anything like this before?

I have bruised my coccyx before, very painful, you need a doughnut cushion to take the weight off it and try not to sit directly on it. Should soon get better, if not talk to gp re xray but do give it time to heal.

Thank you, good advice. I'm flying Ryanair on Friday so a cushion will be great. I hope it's only bruised.

When I fell off my bike about 3 years ago onto my Coxic it was very very painful for about a week then gradually it became back to normal. Unfortunately, Coxic injury is sore and takes time to heal. Just be patient!

Yes it is very sore but only when I sit directly on it so trying hard not to! I will be patient!

The most comfortable way to sit is get a rubber ring like kids use in pools, put it in a cushion cover or pillowcase as you won't want to be wandering around with it😅 I've got at least 6 different donut cushions of different designs and the rubber ring is by far the best and a tiny price against all of my other cushions!!

What a good idea. Using one of those travel neck cushions temporarily.
