REMs v Dexa

Had Dexa scan 1 year ago. T score spine -3.0. LTH -0.7. LFN -0.6. Told Osteoporosis.

GP advised to go on meds. Was not sure I wanted to.

Found out there was an Echolight REMs scan visiting locally so booked in.

T score spine -1.8 LFN -2. RFN -2.1.

Big difference. Now told I have osteopenia.

Would have been happy but was told my fragility score is high. 46.7 57.4 56.9

Was stunned. Can only put it down to pronged use of PPIs . Had hoped to manage this without

the drugs but not sure if I can reverse the fragility with supplements and exercise alone.

My fragility is nearly 90% but I’m nearly 80. I’ve been told just to use my walker at all times to prevent falls. With all that’s wrong with my back a correct DEXA scan wouldn’t be possible so given wrong advice for years.
