Another question? What are the side effects of taking Alendronic Acid ? I have been feeling nauseous and I have a burning sensation in my hips. Also seem to be struggling to walk far. This could be my fibromyalgia which is why I’m asking what other people are experiencing. Thanks 🙏

I had hip pain that hadn’t been there before. I found it worrying. I also had pain in my teeth and mouth, several bouts of sinusitis and my vision felt blurred. I’d say that was probably unusual though.

Blurred vision and teeth pain is part of my fibromyalgia. It’s so difficult to work out what is what.

it’s frustrating not knowing what is causing what. I just write a list to run past Dr. I’m now 4 mths into taking actonel. Only ongoing symptoms are a cough and strange sensation in jaw! I think I’m perhaps paranoid about the jaw so will get dentist to check!

Horrible stuff made me feel wretched. Aching joints, head ache and nauseous. Took it for 6 weeks but also had to take co-codamole so ended up all over the place.

As an alternative I was put on Ibandronic acid 1 per month which wasnt as bad but still had similar joint ache issues that last for about 3 days.
