Hearing Loss

Hello All

Has anyone suffered hearing loss or ear related problems due to Osteoporosis ?

I have hearing loss, but it is almost certainly connected to the inflammatory disease I have in addition to my (severe) osteoporosis. I have never heard of osteoporosis causing trouble with hearing.

I have a hearing loss in one ear (well in both ears but one ear is worse than the other and the audiologist who vaccines my ears saw ‘something’ that hadn’t been there before and referred me to ENT, but I’m 75 so it’s hardly surprising. I was grudgingly offered hearing aids.

Turned out when I went to the fitting I was only getting one hearing aid and it was only because I asked to try one!

I haven’t a clue if it osteoporosis related or not. In my case I suspect not.

Thanks for taking the time to reply ( love the name by the way!) I have a hearing test at Specsavers the weekend, I will let you know the outcome, I'm guessing if there is any hint of hearing loss they will be trying to flog me their hearing aids !!!!
