raloxifene
I’ve been taking it since I finished Teriparatide so nearly 18 months now. I had 5 compression fractures at diagnosis (due to hopeless gp). It’s ok I guess. Made me put weight on round my middle and my hair, which got thinner on teriparatide, is no better. I don’t have flushes but I do feel like I need to wee a lot! I won’t take bisphosphonates but don’t feel safe relying on diet and exercise alone. I don’t know if it acts as an anti-resorbtive, just that it protects against spinal fractures. I fell on my bum on the ice a few weeks ago and I was very stiff and sore for a while after (not helped by Christmas madness) but I don’t think I fractured anything. I wish there were better drugs than bisphosphonates and the couple of alternatives that are reluctantly offered though.
Hi you may see I asked the same thing before I started on Raloxafine. I’ve been taking it now for 6 months. I’m absolutely fine, I haven’t put on weight or had hair changes! In fact I’m thankful I’ve had no side effects at all. Go for it !
ooh Thankyou. that’s good to hear! Did you have issues with your previous meds? I cundnt tolerate alendronic acid or resedronate.
