alternative to adcal-3 lemon chewable tabs

my gp has sent me a prescription for adcal-d3 is there an alternative for my severe osteoporosis, they have a lot of sugar which is not good for my prostate cancer.

It is always best to get the amount of daily calcium you need from your daily diet. If, after discussing this with your doctor and he agrees you include enough calcium in your diet there is no need to be prescribed calcium tablets. You would only need the prescribed Vitamin D tablets.

yeah but how do I know if I am absorbing calcium and nutrients, the 30mgs of lansoprazole I take might be stopping me absorbing them.

That is something you have to ask your doctor or a pharmacist or a nurse at the Royal Osteoporosis Society as you appear to be very concerned about this.
