Our communications team are writing a blog for the ROS website about living well with osteoporosis over Christmas, to be published mid-December. Do you have any tips on this subject you’d like to share to help support the community during the festive season? If so, please send your tips to comms@theros.org.uk by the end of Thursday 8 December to be included in the blog (bullet points are fine).

Topics could include:

• Managing medication and practicalities over Christmas, e.g., checking opening hours of pharmacies, GP surgeries

• Staying connected with people, particularly for those unable to travel or who live alone

• Exercising safely, e.g., taking care when walking in wet or icy conditions

• Cooking, eating well for bones

• Managing pain

• Managing financial worries

Thank you in advance

ROS Communications Team.

As I’m housebound and unable to stand or walk more than a few minutes I have lots of tips for making food easier. I used to love cooking, esp. Xmas but can’t do it now so have found lots of cheats - if anyone’s interested.

Plus keeping warm, hot water bottles still have their place, my back or legs, cheap, comforting, also helps with pain, spasms and cramps.🧑‍🎄
