Oh no. I’m 74 and I had many anti-tetnus injections as a child and young adult. The first one being after I stumbled and fell onto the family golden retriever and ended up being bitten - poor dog got an awful fright as well as a painful shock. After that I got them for all sorts of things - I jumped on a plank of wood I was trying to break - I was half way down when I realised I had started with it the other way up because there was a big nail sticking out of it so I knew what would happen before it happened. Ouch! I also had a distant relative who died after spiking his foot with a pitchfork when he was working in a farm although I imagine that might possibly have been before the vaccine was either invented or widely used. Glad you’re ok, hope your little dog is too 🐶
Be very careful re tetanus. My grandfather, many years ago in England died of tetanus. He was a young doctor in a village and one day cut his hand. He ignored it as he was busy taking care of his patients, and then it was too late. I have learned always to keep my tetanus shots up to date. I’m so glad you had your hand checked.
