Has anyone broke leg due to a fall and what was your recovery time. My osteoporosis made this injury more serious.

Osteoporosis fracture
No but I broke my wrist in two places. Caste in for 5 weeks. I think I’ve been using my hand too much as it aches. That was January 8th this year.
I broke my wrist 12 months ago - that’s how I was diagnosed - healed perfectly. I broke my ankle in 3 places 5 years ago when osteopenic and again bone healed perfectly. Both were after falls.
I broke both bones in my wrist two years ago in January after a fall, had it ‘stretched’ back into place and recovery took the normal time. That was when I was diagnosed with osteoporosis.
Unfortunately I developed CRPS when the plaster came off, eventually I managed to see a hand therapist on Zoom for desensitisation and regular exercises.
The recovery of my bones from the actual break wasn’t a problem though. Wrist fine now and I can do everything I used to do before the break.
I broke my wrist 4 years ago during 'The Beast from The East' and slipped on black ice while pulling a wheelie bin down a slope.
Had plate and screws put in but unfortunately it never completely healed .
My hand won't bend backwards so can't do floor exercises as hand won't go flat on floor. I find it very often feels ice cold with pain occasionally.
Was sent for a dexa scan but results not that bad at -2.6. Was advised to take medication but after researching about side effects etc decided to go down my own route with supplements. Apart from above feel fine.
Yes, I fractured my Tibial plateau, which is part of the knee joint. The fracture was stabilised after 2 weeks with plate and screws and I couldn't weight bear for 6 weeks after. It took me a long time to regain my confidence again, physio is a must. Bending my knee to walk almost normally, took the most effort, so if the fracture isn't on a joint, I think recovery is probably quicker. It was during my recovery I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis
