The ROS have a survey available on their website which I have just completed. It is worth doing as it may help future generations get better treatment. Please take some time out to do it for them.

Thank you for taking part Pinklady45 , and for sharing with others! Your experiences are really important to help us build a full picture of what it’s like to live with osteoporosis.

For those interested in taking part in the survey, more information can be found on our website at theros.org.uk/survey

I’ve completed it. It’s a comprehensive survey & it’s your chance to have your say on how Osteoporosis has impacted your life and to comment on the state of treatment & support for osteoporosis- warts & all ! Would really help if we all give it shot.

I have completed it. I thought it to be quite a good survey better than many of surveys I have started to complete and given up on. ;)

I tried but when I got to the question ‘How long after you first broke a bone, that you suspect was broken because of your osteoporosis, was your diagnosis? This includes spinal fractures.’

I couldn’t go any further as None of the choices applied as even the question was wrong. I did not break a bone because of osteoporosis!

I and the doctors never even considered osteoporosis.

The break was a horrid fall Nothing to do with weak bones!

My bones deteriorated drastically after developing complex regional pain syndrome as a result of the break.

So, upshot is, I couldn’t continue with the survey. To choose any of the options would be incorrect.

I had the same problem!

Cannot remember how I got round that one when answering the questionnaire as I have not broken a bone either.

I think the issue was for those of us who have broken a bone but it wasn't an osteoporotic fracture.
