Dystonia ?

Recently this has been added to my ( Portfolio )😱 of medical problems . Two bad falls last year resulted in my neck being twisted . A referral to a Consultant has resulted in Botox injections to see if any difference could be made . A warning of side effects most importantly difficulty in swallowing has indeed happened. My question is , as it is almost impossible to swallow painkillers ,is there a liquid that can replace paracetamol and codeine until such time that effects wear off ? TIA Pp

So sorry to hear what you are telling us and I hope the side effects resolve quickly.

In the meantime I would contact your gp and ask for something.

It is possible to get some pain relieving medications in liquid form.

Obviously I don't know what other pain relief you would be willing to try, Oramorph is morphine in liquid form and can be given in low doses and short term.

Hope you get something quickly and are soon feeling much better.

Sunseaandsand. Thank you for your prompt reply. I will give the surgery a ring tomorrow. It's really scary when things won't go down your throat , and I take so many tablets a day . Pp
