Is it spam or not .Covid 19. A quick question for those of you who received the shielding letter from the Government . I did a couple of weeks ago with a ten weeks lockdown . Yesterday and today I have received pretty much the same asking me anything I need , but in my mobile phone also accompanied by is it Spam or is it not Spam to tick the relevant box . How on earth do I know this ? I'm a bit worried so if anyone can let me know I'd be grateful. Pp

I’m sorry I don’t know but I would just delete the messages and, if there is a contact number on your original letter, call that on Monday with your query.

I would guess that rather than asking you if there is anything you need an official letter would point you in the direction of well recognised sources of help. For example Local Councils have set up lists of community organisations in each area.

None of the info we have received has asked us to reply. Always best never to give any of your information to an unknown number or to reply to one.

I had my letter in early April and this week also received a phone call asking if I needed assistance and did

I feel OK etc. Maybe if they can’t reach you by phone theY message you. If you got a message so long as it has a Xxxx.gov.uk email address it is genuine.

Temujin, I had my letter in April, and a couple of calls from our reception. One even arranging a nurse to call and inject my b12, 😊 I thought I was going to have to fight for that. My gp uses my mobile number from time to time so I shouldn't be worried about that.

If only I'd any of this attention since I got ill, I might not have been in this extremely vulnerable position now.sour grapes I suppose. X take care. Pp
