Apparently osteocalcin is the hormone which gives us what we've always called the adrenaline rush. telegraph.co.uk/science/201...

It's a fascinating discovery, that the bones are like an organ, not just a frame to protect our vitals and to hang flesh on! I'm wondering if chronic stress would lead to bone thinning or if the osteocalcin would trigger a response from osteoblasts to prevent the loss?

Of significance to me just now is that I have had a big increase of energy since taking K2, Mk7 600mcg, calcium and magnesium et al. I have PBC and the fatigue associated with it as the worst symptom. This until a couple of weeks ago has felt, as many others have said, like being switched off. I'm half afraid to say it or believe it, but the new energy feels like I've been switched on again.

That is terrific to hear about your increased energy levels, which included taking K2 MK7 600 mcg as I've just ordered the NutriZing supplement 600 mcg after taking others at 100 then 200 mcg. It does seem the highest dose compared to all the others available.

Seemingly this vitamin has a long half life so was thinking I could take one every 3 days instead of two daily as would prefer to cut down on number of supplements taken every day.

That's a big positive for you and here's hoping you remain switched on.

Thank you for your good wishes.

I'm unqualified to comment on your thoughts about how you will take a supplement, but I do note you mention "instead of two daily". This would be 1200mcg, not 600mcg. :-)

Sorry if I was unclear. I meant taking just one of the new 600 mcg supplement once every three days thereby equal to 200 mcg per day.

Currently I take a 100 mcg twice a day, making daily dose of 200 mcg. So rather than continue with daily supplements taking my new capsule once every few days could be preferable.

No problem! Have you read "Your Bones.." Lara Pizzorno? I'm grateful that it was reccommended here to me.

No haven't read 'Your Bones'. Though read one recommended on here called Vitamin K and the Calcium Paradox by Kate Rheume Bleue.

Both of the books are well worth reading. They cover different aspects of bone health. I am not a big fan of e-books but I happen to have them both on my Kobo!
