Hi I am asking for a friend who is supposed to take electronic acid but has had gastric surgery and cannot drink a half pint of water in one go to take the pill and was wondering whether she could drink it over a 10 minute period. Any advice please

If she really needs the bone medication (and many people actually don't, but that's another story) there are versions which are taken through an injection, ibandronate and zoledronic acid. Avoid Prolia (denosumab).

I guess the issue for some is because it's an injection if you have a bad reaction to the medication (side effects) they take longer to wear off. But injections do avoid the stomach problems.
