Having suffered three spinal fractures due to Osteoporosis my Doctor suggested i have the Denosunab Injection every 6 months and I was due for my third one next week.. as per norm one has to have blood tests one week before and a month after the Denosunab Injection.I had a call from the Doctor yesterday stating that my white blood count was very low (WBC) and she thought it could be one of the side effects of the Denosunab and has advised me to consider having the Zolendronic Infusion once a year instead.. I really do not know what to do..Has anyone else suffered from this side effect.. I am not on any other medication. Grateful for advise/comments.

I've Never taken Denosunab, but I have had low WBC. But I have a Zolendronic Infusion. I was told once a year, but although I've only had one, my blood test results were so good my next one will be 18 months from the fist. I had 4 spinal fractures. Wishing you well.
Ihave had 3 zolendronic acid infusions, the last 3 years ago. I unfortunately broke my fibula last March and had another DEXA scan and my spine and hips were OK and my readings had improved. I thought I had no side effects from the infusions but since then I have had an epiretinal membrane in my right eye and have had atrial fibrillation which the OS nurses have said could be due to the infusions. As both symptoms are "could be" nothing is proved and could just be a coincidence. I try to exercise and keep going as best as I can with yoga pilates tai chi and keep fit for the over 60s.
I am on Denosunab, due another injection in June, so far no problems, haven’t had recent blood test so not sure of WCC, willhavenloods done again in May.🤞
I was on Denosumab injections for 7yrs,I broke my wrist in a bad fall last May,come July when I was due my next injection I was told I couldn't have it,and put on a daily injection of Forsteo, which don't agree with me,so I'm on nothing at the moment. Even without Osteoperosis you would have broken something with thefall I had. I also have RA and Forsteo has knocked all my bloods out. So I'll have to wait and see what's next.
