Prepping for ASCO

Each year, Blue Faery attends the American Society of Clinical Oncology's (ASCO) Annual Meeting in Chicago. This meeting is the largest medical conference in the US and it's back to pre-covid numbers with more than 40,000 attendees from around the world. It's always the first weekend in June. Except for last year, we always have a booth there.

This year, I'm excited that we'll have a booth again and our 10'x10' beautiful Blue Faery will be on display. I'm thrilled that native Chicagoan scbauer77 will be volunteering at our booth on Saturday, June 1.

This morning, I went to UPS early to ship seven boxes to our booth. Though I'm not sure our giant faery in its large container (2/3 my height!) counts as a box. 😉

This conference is grueling with days averaging around 12 hours, but it's also where we have face-to-face meetings with funders and discuss their priorities, Blue Faery's goals, and future grants and sponsorship.

If there's anything you would like me to share during our meetings, please let me know. And if you ever want to volunteer for us and attend ASCO in the future, let us know. Blue Faery pays for all travel expenses.
