had tests re done bloods and urine due to high blood pressure. Sure I’ve had them done two or three times in past year but this time renin elevated at 101, and markedly elevated aldosterone at 969. Albumin/creative ratio elevated at 6.2 (upper limit 3.5). Strongly pointing towards secondary hyperaldosteronism (commonest cause renal artery stenosis). A mri renal angiogram with contrast has been arranged but I react badly to many things and have had poor health past two years as a result of bad reactions to meds and vaccine. I have also have Hereditary Alpha Tryptasmia with elevated tryptase in blood which causes me to react to anything and everything and contrast is contraindicated with it. I’m not able to speak with GP or consultant till just after the Mri appt date as it is soon. Just wondering if anyone else had similar hyperaldosteronism from adrenal tumour or renal artery stenosis and had different non invasive tests to check?

After an aldosterone test, I was diagnosed with primary aldosteronism. All my other blood pressure medications were thrown out, and now I take only 50mg Spironolactone which brought down my blood pressure beautifully.
