Can’t sleep from lercanipidine

Hello, I was switched to Lercanipidine from amlidopidine. I’ve always slept very well and now I can’t fall asleep and I wake up several times during the night. Will this side effect go away? I am also taking metroprolol, Ramipril, monoxidine and torasemide, but the sleep problems just started with the change to Lercanipidine. Does anyone know why this might be happening? I have not changed any habits such as drinking coffee later etc. I stop at 2pm with all caffeinated beverages or chocolate.

I could sleep with amlidopine, my sleep issues started with lercanipidine. I also have no choice, I have to take BP meds due to kidney failure so it’s not an option to stop them unfortunately.

I’ve been on the lercanipidine for more than a month and I do feel like I am sleeping better now, but I’m the beginning I couldn’t fall asleep at all. Before lercanipidine I slept like the dead. I will ask my doctor at my next appointment about it. I keep forgetting to ask.

I take my lercanidipine in the morning. If I take it in the evening it affects my sleep.

Most BP meds take Magnesium from body. Having g a supplement does help.
