I have been taking 12mg of Candesartan in the evening for 6 years, last week I had a check up and my doctor my blood pressure was up, He told me to continue the 12mg in the evening but to take an extra 8mg during the day does anybody else do this or as I live in France it may be just a french thing.

Hi, that's odd. I take 16mg candesartan in the morning together with bendroflumethzide and doxazosin at night. Was on 32mg candesartan originally over 18 yrs ago but it was reduced after i lost weight and i've been stable ever since.

Do you ever take your own BP at home when you are in a relaxed atmosphere?

Hi yes I do but since upping the dose my BP is all over the place so I will leave it for a few days to settle down a bit well I hope that it does.

It may be that, as you say, it will settle down after a while. 🤞 x
