Palpitations due to felopidine

I have been on 2.5 mg of felopidine for 3 months. I tried to ignore palpitations but one day I was experiencing strong and continuous palpitations causing me to be light-headed. I felt really ill and had to lie down. As a result rushed to hospital and had a lot of heart tests, all negative, but they are planning further tests. Has anyone experienced this as a result of felopidine?

I was given Felodipine several years ago but came off of them because they made my face look the colour of a freshly boiled lobster and also made me look 12 months pregnant. Horrid things. At least you are on their radar and things are underway to get you checked. Good luck. xx

Thank you so much! Have now off felopidine and waiting to see whether these strong palpitations and other effects stop. If not, I have to have further heart investigations, so a worrying time.

Under side effects for cardiovascular:

Cardiovascular

Common (1% to 10%): Palpitation, flushing

I am no doctor, but you might want to discuss your palpitations with whomever prescribed the Felodipine. There are other drugs that may be more suited to you. And, yes, do take the further tests. Do keep us informed about your outcome.

Thank you. Unfortunately I have been on many different BP meds for many years and have reacted badly to all of them. So waiting to see if the palpitations stop as came off felopidine 2 days ago,
