You don't say if you are on medication and if the reading are a regular thing. Go to your GP and explain that you want further investigation and to be referred to a hospital cardiologist. Whilst this won`t answer all you queries it will start the process for you to find if anything else is wrong as you should have no difficulty walking unless there is something else in the mix. The extra heartbeat should not be anything to worry about but I urge you get checked out as my health deteriorated without warning to AF as well as high bp and now until I get treated I find walking very, very difficult.
Good luck, get checked out and we are here to support you on the way!
In what was do you find walking difficult? My BP is normally in the 140/80 range, or higher - with medication, and I have difficulty walking due to arthritic ankles (and now get breathless, but I think thats lack of practice and deteriorating muscles).
What meds are you on - and what age are you? Anything else - diabetic, overweight? We may not be medically trained but we can offer sympathy and help.
