Hi all. I've now had 20 sessions of Laser therapy. Pleased with the results. 02 sats are up from 92-94. I have more energy to do things and, although it's taken a while, my breathing has improved - especially on the days I have the laser therapy. The real bonus of course will hopefully be felt over time as progression is slowed or even stopped, as has happened with the albeit small number of people who have experienced laser therapy for some time.

Where do you have this please and how much is it. Did your consultant arrange this or how did it all happen. I read through the articles and people all seem to improve on it. I have sarcoid pulmonary fibrosis but anything that can slow it down would be helpful if I could afford it.
Hi Jomo You'll need to find a chiropractor or osteopath who has a class 4 K-Laser. You can do this here klaseruk.co.uk/patients/ Not many around in the north, plenty around the south east. It then gets a little more tricky. Almost certainly you will be the first patient they have had seeking treatment for Pulmonary Fibrosis. The Laser can be programmed to do various treatments, these are called protocols. You'll need to point him to this website: summit-chiropractic.com/ipf/ where you'll find the laser settings required at the bottom of page.
This chiropractor himself developed IPF 5 years ago, couldn't afford the drugs ($100,000 per year) and just treated himself with his laser, since which time he has had no progression. Dr Hall has been very helpful in advising other chiropractors and is very approachable if your chiropractor wants to contact him.
Treatments are around £30/£40 per time. You need 3 per week for first month, 2 per week for second month and once weekly thereafter.

I have never heard of this so looked it up, and it seems they are trying this out on copd patients as well in America, lets hope the UK will try this out too, anything that improves quality of life has to be good.
