A Name Change.

'Man-size' tissues,

What a silly name.

The size of Henry Cooper

Or little Sleepy Wayne?

And what about the ladies?

What size will theirs be?

They could be much much larger,

Cos they cry more than we.

But when it comes to tissues

We're experts on this group.

They're in pockets and in handbags

If you would care to snoop.

We take them along with us,

Wherever we do go.

And what we hide within them,

You wouldn't want to know.

I wrote and posted this last year and have just heard on the news that the name 'Man-size' has now been dropped.

Perhaps with gender equality in mind they were not worth the hype

now toilet rolls and labrador puppies may soon go down the pipe

What next for the chop?

Ski's and Scruff's x

It wasn't so much the 'man' that I complained about as 'size'. As a man yourself, you will know how important size is. ;-)

It's not the size that matters

it's what you do with it

i've often quoted that old ditty

and been accused of talking sh**(rubbish) :)

in reply to skischool

You're right, what you do with it is important. I've never been happy wiping my backside with a labrador puppy! :-o

Tissues how we need them

To be man sized or not

In a drawer in a bag

Never to be forgot

They really are a marvel

Just use and throw away

Don’t leave them in your pockets though

Or you may well rue the day.

Thank you Don for being as brilliant as always.

I always buy man sized tissues so that’s really going to confuse me. I wonder what the new name is. I would think large but who knows.

Maybe thy could just call them large tissues! Simple but effective.

I've wondered if men and women have such different size noses. Now they're non binary tissues. Are they going to be called Tissues for people with a big nose? Or just Big tissues. Who nose... i mean knows.

I suggest 'Big Hooter Size Tissues'. ;-)
