Increased my BRALTUS myself

I also was told about the brautus being almost half the dose so I've started to take 2 capsules of brautus instead of 1 is this OK or more harmful

You should really only increase you dosage with approval from your GP.

If you feel it’s not effective ask your GP for a alternative.

Spot on stone..there is self medicating and then there's self medicating

Silly thing to do you should speak with your GP and let them know and be advised as to whether this is dangerous or not.

It is important to NOT exceed the recommended dose.

IE: Recommended Dose

Adults 18 years of age and older:

Inhalation of the contents of ONE capsule once daily with the Zonda inhaler.

Inhalation should be at the same time of day each day.

The recommended dose should not be exceeded.

So doubling my dose will be doing more harm than good ? I definitely feel alot more congested. Really at my wits end

I know what you mean re the congestion and have tried other antimuscarinics than tiotropium, but nothing seems any better. I guess that leaving them off would be even worse though. If tiotropium is a new med for you, I believe that it can take a couple of weeks before full benefit is obtained.

I think that this info on the dosage should sort out any confusion that you may have from what you have been wrongly told by someone.

 Spiriva capsules for inhalation contain 18 microgram of tiotropium, but the delivered dose is 10 microgram of tiotropium.

Braltus capsules for inhalation contain 13 microgram of tiotropium, but the delivered dose is 10 microgram of tiotropium.

I think you'd be safer using your Ventolin inhaler if you feel the braltus isn't doing it for you until you can get to see your GP/respiratory nurse. If you're feeling panicky ring 111 NHS help.. for advice.
