Really fed up with this year so far and i am glad i do not have to put up with the weather you guys have.

Just back from Docs. And here is the list:)

Tananvic for 10 days

Combivent 4 times a day for 5 days

Pulmicort twice a day 7 days

Again more ACC but I take that daily anyway

And a new bronchodilator to replace the Spiriva and Seretide. The new one is ANORO ELLIPTA.

Does anyone have experience of the ANORO inhaler?

I really hope this time I get rid of the cough as my ribs and diaphragm coukd do with a rest and I could do with a good nights sleep:)

I hope you guys manage well with the weather over there I still remember only to well the Russian winter.

Keep warm keep well

Andrew

Thanks - it seems as though I had this cough forever but I think it is just the one from Christmas creep8ng back on me:)

Sorry you’re not well, its very frustrating and debilitating and i’m not surprised you’re fed up. Take care , i hope you feel better soon. I can’t help with your new meds i’m afraid, i only have spiriva and ventolin at the mo.

Had Spiriva and Seritide plus Ventolin as a backup if needed. Doc seems to think it may be time for a change so now ANORO so will see how if goes

I have Anoro Ellipta and can almost feel it doing its stuff. I've had it fo 18 months and find it easy to use and for me at least no obvious side effects. I do hope you feel better soon xx

Thanks I have seen some good reports on here from a couple of years ago so hopefully it will make difference

Hi Andy

Sounds like you have enough meds to cover that last bout of winter desert dust!!

Have you been allergy tested for that dust? I was wondering..I loved working in Barcelona but I was so allergic there..And when Bea went back to live there, I went to visit her regularly. Well had forgotten what Spring time was like. I got an allergy to banañeros or plane trees, it went from bronchitis to pleurisy..

There are some countries that are not made for us Andy, and we have to listen to our body, if we have a choice that is..so moving back to plain Switzerland with its lake and mountains has its advantages. When I was younger and fitter it was lovely now it is just boring and healthy!!

Being back in Paris reminded me of London, loved the action but hated the pollution!

To conclude, silly me giving you advice when the grass is always greener on the other side!

Take good care of yourself xx

Hi I have been on Anoro for a year now, seems to me to be the same as Spiriva cannot say its better but slightly cheaper for me so I stuck with it....Norm

Thanks Norm, Started last night so not able to say how it is for me - but you are right it is cheaper doubly so when you consider that I replace two other meds. Mind you insurance usually pays for mine except when I cannot b bothered to go to the docs for a repeat and then it gets expensive:)

Sorry to read that your feeling unwell. Anoro Ellipta is for COPD and other obstructive lung and bronchial conditions. However, it is not for Asthma. I take Relvar Ellipta for asthma and have found it to be life changing. I am sorry I can’t help you as I have not experienced Anoro Ellipta anoro.com/about.html however, I do hope you feel better soon
