Due to some types of bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics it's always good to hear of a new family of antibiotics being found.

I found this interesting. bbc.co.uk/news/health-43032602

Not before time, the threat imposed by antibiotic resistance is growing daily.

Sometimes I think that doctors are also to blame. One of my employees has been on them for 12 years and has overrun his meds review by years too, but his doctor allows him to continue with them on a repeat prescription. He may not even need to take them anymore. All for skin blotches on his face.

Interesting and welcome news. Agree with the Prof though they need to be working on abs to treat gram negs. Didn’t realise MRSA was gram pos - you learn something new every day. Thanks for the article Badbessie.

I tried to convince my mother of this 80 years ago! ;-)
