Most people will be too young to remember the days when you went to the pictures to see (1) the News, (2) a cartoon (3) the interval when you bought a tub of ice cream from the girl with a tray round her neck and listened to the organ (4) the main feature.

Quite often 1, 2, and 3 were better than 4.

We’re off soon to finish Christmas shopping. Our bit of Birmingham was hit badly by snow last weekend and it is now frozen on the pavements. Then last night there was more snow which has frozen on top of the first lot! Loads of cancelled bus services!
