I forgot this one I took this picture on the night of summer solstice on the way to the stones just found it on the camera slightly edited to enhance poppies ...never edited before not sure if I like doing them this way 😀

Sometimes the camera needs a little help to record what you actually saw. That is one beautiful photo.

I agree with Don, scenery is particularly hard to photograph as it never looks the same in the pic as it does in real life. Using the occasional filter can help show people a better image. It's a cracking photo x

Thank you very novice at the camera shots I just take what I see xx

Thank you Don it's in the Devizes area on the way to Stonehenge xx

Beautiful, I must get back there again. Trouble is the person who took me last time doesn't want to go again. They didn't feel the connection that I did.

in reply to Kitten-kat23

Awww Kat iv go every year I feel very humbled and peaceful when I go . I feel peaceful a lot but it's the wandering spirit in me takes me every year love the atmosphere in the stones my friends had a tie the knot wedding there on solstice about 8 years ago xxx

Beautiful photograph, that sky is quite spectacular and the poppies have that slight sort of glow that you only get at dusk, after a lovely sunny day. Really like that.

in reply to Magpuss

Thankyou magpuss it was taken around 9ish in the evening I think I'm only just flipping through the camera now messing about with them xx

Bit late for dusk then. Guess you must have created that 'glow' while editing - clever you, I don't think I've seen it photographed successfully before. Carry on messing about, I say!

Lovely photo. I remember going there on a school trip many years ago. In those days you could wander round the stones and even touch them. It's all ringed off now isn't it?

in reply to

Thank you it's ringed off during the year .But on solstice you are allowed in among them

I was DX in may with moderate ( stage 2). It shocks you when you find out. Had Spirometry last week which they saidwas normal. You seem to be coping really well cconsidering you stage 3. An inspiration to the rest of us Angie. Jan xxx

in reply to JanBis

Thank you I was stupid knew I had it before diagnosis and continued to ignore it .but what's for us isn't going to go by us . I didn't go through the shock phase as already knew it was there .Seems strange but I guess the diagnosis saved me in a way. How weird your spirometer test was normal but ct scan said different are you seeing your GP for clarification on things xxx

JanBis profile image
JanBis in reply to

Gp said Spiro result was very good. I did ask if Ct scan was correct and he said it was. Go gave me Salmeterol 50mcg 1 puff twice a day. And I have Ventolin as an when. xxx

in reply to JanBis

I hope you get the pain sorted and get things to a reasonable standard where your happy .get on the first pulmonary rehabilitation class in your area it's worth it .where are you from xx

Wow, I think that you are the first one on this site to talk about "diet-related". When I developed asthma in my 50's I was so confused because I've never smoked and always lived rural (fresh air) but after going on a VERY strict diet, I pinpointed an allergy to sulfites. And found out that they are in nearly everything in one form or another.

I keep an inhaler handy, but mostly only cook my own food. Restaurants are notorious for using the preservatives that trigger my asthma. People think that I'm a "picky" eater, and I really hate to be one of those people people that go into health details. LOL

Anyway, this site got me through some tough times while on all those medications.

All the best to you, I only logged in because I was curious about your "Stonehenge" post. Hardly anything in the world fascinates as that does!

Hopefully you've figured yours out too.

Sincerely,

Gail, from Tennessee, USA

in reply to juzwundering

Hi Gail .

Cross wires I think is it Stonehenge that interests you or the diet related thing sorry as unsure

Regards Angie xx
