Hello Barbara

I have had similar for six weeks.....You cannot expect to feel your usual self overnight.

It's a long time to be ill, and it may take you just as long to recover.

Listen to your body...Do what you can when you feel up to it, and rest when you feel tired.

Eventually your strength will return.

Good luck

I've noticed the same thing Velvet. I wonder if certain ABs affect our tastebuds?

Pleased you are feeling better but chest infections take it out of you. I hope you soon feel less tired. X

So sorry to hear you've had an infection for that long, here's me complaining about being into my third week. It makes you feel so tired ,I feel the same. The trouble is the weaker you get the harder and longer it takes to get right again. Stay positive barbara .Hope your feeling much better real soon.😊

Having an infection strike for such a long time is bound to knock the stuffing out of you. You are not going to feel suddenly better. It will take time. Don't try to rush it. It's been a bad winter for many on here - take notice of velvet55 , she has had a nasty double dose. Try to be positive, your strength will return.

I started with a chest infection a wek before Xmas and despite taking abs and steroids ended up in hospital over Xmas. I had IV and oral antibiotics and steroids. Im just about getting back to normal. I was of my legs for weeks and struggled to get upstairs. Im getting out for short walks now but am short of breath at ties and have to have a sit down when out walking, and I cant walk too far. Hopefuly Ill get able to walk further as the weeks go by.

Is it worth having a word with your local pharmacist about a tonic? It may just improve your vitamin levels etc.
