Have anyone heard of pop lung through ecigs .what i was told is that there is nothing anyone can do about it

I have heard of this, though just be careful where you buy your e liquid from, I buy Diacetyl free liquid.

I have COPD and spoke with the nurse because I had concerns about vaping and she says its 95% safe and to continue vaping. The whole reason they won't be rolled out any time soon on the nhs is because the number of people who'd want an ecig this costing a lot of money for the nhs.

Diacetyl was used in the manufacture of popcorn, hence the term popcorn lung. Traces of Diacetyl were found in some eliquids, particularly Chinese, however most manufacturers of the liquid no longer use it. Check the bottle or go to the manufacturers web site to see if it is added or not.

Ah! All making sense. Obliterative Bronchiolitis can be caused by popcorn flavouring, Diacetyl. Which is a natural substance but used to make a "buttery" flavour. Hmmm..... OB to be avoided at all costs, methinks....

Sounds like a very good reason for quitting

As far as I'm aware, there have been no recorded cases of popcorn lung caused by vaping, and only a small percentage of workers within the factory's where popcorn was made and there was hundreds of more times concentrations there than in E cigs.It iis nothing more then scaremongering is my belief, although obviously it's better to use liquids that don't contain it, to remove the risk entirely

I am well aware of these reports

However,as I have said, there are no recorded cases of popcorn lung having been caused by vaping and very few from working with the chemical, so the risk to the vaper is minimal at best.

This is another example of the big pharmaceutical and tobacco industries trying to scare folk off.

When you look into the funding of these researches they are invariably funded by on of those two. Enough said.
