Was at the hospital 4 hours to be told they don't have any beds so have to go back 8.45am tomorrow, they still can't guarantee they will have a bed for me then.

Oh, poor you, how horrible to be turned away and still with no certainty that your operation will go ahead tomorrow. Everything crossed for you that all goes well tomorrow.

Really sorry this has happended to you jan. It would maybe take the sting out of the tale if they explained why. Once I waited all day on the ward with my gown and socks only to be told at 5pm it would be cancelled. The lady before me was in the anaesthetic room when hers was cancelled. The con and his registrar came to see me and explained the patient before had had a serious bleed and it had taken much longer to sort out. The other lady and myself were more concerned for her and went to see her before we went home. It does help if they tell you.

It's not very nice to get yourself all hyped up for surgery, all for nothing. I do hope when you go next time it all goes smoothly.

How disappointing for you Jan, I dispair at the state of affairs in the NHS, it's just not on.

I hope you get your procedure tomorrow as promised and you can be on the mend. xx

Oh Jan what a disappointment for you. After preparing yourself for it all now back to square one. Try to stay calm. Hope today is successful for you. In my thoughts.

Thank you Suzy, we are going back to the hospital now, it's 34 miles away and traffic could be heavy this time of the morning. Jan xxx
