What a day for a day dream.

Well here we are at the start of another day so that's a bonus for a start, its 0630 and down here in Devon its cold, wet and blowing like a mad thing. Rather tired after our trip around the earth and then on to Mars only to find it was closed for the bank holiday but there you are that's life you can't always have it the way you want it. If the weather stays like this I reckon its going to be a long lazy day indoors.

Here is an old one you might have heard before but some find it funny and true.

A family gather in the waiting room at the local hospital were a relative is really poorly, the doctor comes over looking rather sombre "I am afraid I'm the bearer of bad news " he says as he surveys the worried faces. "The only hope for your loved one is a brain transplant, its a experimental procedure semi risky and you will have to pay for the brain yourselves."

The family sit in silence as they absorb the news. After a while one of the family ask how much does a brain cost ? The doctor quickly responds "£5000 for a blokes brain or "£200 for a woman's brain." The men in the room try not to smile at this and avoid eye contact with the women, but some actually smirk. One bloke unable to control his curiosity blurbs out the question everyone is wants to ask, "Why is the mans brain so much more expensive ?" The doctor smiles at his childish innocence and says, "Its standard price procedure. We have to mark down the price of the woman's brains because they have actually been used."

Oh well that's me told, lets hope today is better that yesterday as it was a really awful one not nice at all weather wise. What ever you have today make the most of it folks and try to keep smiling.

:) ;) xxx Fred

Morning Fred, just love the joke - and so true 😃😃 Whoops, mustn't let hubby see my comment😉. Really miserable morning here as well but hubby had a good night and is feeling better this morning so all's well here. Like you, I think today will be a stay at home day - I fancy making a coffee and walnut cake so you're very welcome to join us for "afternoon tea" 😊😊 Jan xx

Hi there our funny but lovely Lyn , I thought you would like that one, hope you and your good friend have a good catch up but at the end of the day its the company that's important. Yes we will have to think where we are going next. Look after yourself and stay safe. Byyyyyyyyyyye for now :) xxx

Had a lovely catch up with my dear friend today. When I got home, my son text me to ask if I'd have the dog as he was flat out busy in work. So one minute I was cosy at home looking out at the wind and rain and the next minute I was out in it, walking the flipping dog. lol. Needless to say we both got drenched. lol. Anyway the dog is now washed from the muck on the canal and fast asleep on the rug in front of the fire. I am once again watching it through the window. Ew :-) xxx

Oh Lyn poor you. I could say that's what mothers are for, but I am sure your boy will repay you in some way, and at least you had a second friend to chat with today. Stay warm it seems there is more rain on its way, its still blowing well down here. Sleep well after your long wet walk, I expect the wind brought a glow to your cheeks. :) xxx

Morning Fred, same here weather wise, heating on! Loved the joke not heard it before. Have a nice relaxing day, i was thinking of scooting down to our little town but not in the rain, it will have to be something from the freezer for tea! xx

It looks like we are all stuck with this lot today unless some of you know different, those living across the lake are excused. I thought it might be bad so yesterday I went down to our local Waitrose as stated there is another shop available if required, and bought dinner for today, I know I am a smarty but that's us men thinking ahead, no comment needed :) Have a nice day indoors :) ;) xxx

hahahahahahaha lol sooooooo true Fred, good joke. Still laughing here, and it makes up for Mars being closed! Never mind, we can go again soon.

Jan, any type of cake with coffee in it, is my favourite-----not hinting or anything, no really, really not. lol

Weather here is foul too, such a change from yesterday.

Hope everyone has a good day despite the weather, and keeps warm and cosy inside.

hugs from Huggs xxx :)

Morning Huggs I reckon Jan is going to get a bigger cake tin at this rate and may have to borrow a few chairs from her neighbours as I am sure there will more going across for tea as the weather does not matter when you are dreaming. Hugs on there way to you, stay safe xxx :)

Hahahaha, love the joke Fred. Those female brains must have really been used since the discount is so large :D

Is 6.00 your usual waking time? I was up then due to Rita's alarm going off so she and her co-conspirator could go off to the station to harass commuters about how they should vote. My female brain had not woken up and thought it was 7.30. :D

And vote-wise, its not that i disagree with her, i don't - i just didn't want to be up just yet. So breakfast under my belt, plus the washing-up, Im off for another kip.

Then Im off for a new PR assessment. Enjoy your day Fred, :) :) xxx

holly17 in reply to O2Trees

Sorry love that was me, maybe I should have had them costing a little more as I keep being told that women are priceless, so I thought maybe just make a token gesture lol :D Yes I normally wake up at that time no idea why really as its the same no matter what time I go to bed, and once awake that's it I am up and ready to go, where I have no idea. Enjoy your second kip, before Rita returns signing and dancing. Speak later love Fred xxx :) ;)

Hi Fred, i love the joke and took delight in reading it to Dave; he smiled but made no comment. Weather, lovely yesterday but today, it's cloudy with heavy showers, the sun comes out for a few moments at times , to trap thosr unwise to venture out. Gimmee it stop now, i want to walk, i have to do my 10000 steps, no cake until i do. Save us a bit Lyn. Love Margaret x

I would not expect Dave to enjoy the joke it's a woman' joke, I will find one for him later. How many steps have you done so far Margaret ? I think you will find its Jan that's making the cake unless,I have missed a bit.
