Nebulised or inhaled drugs can make you hoarse. This happens to Pete sometimes. Do you rinse your mouth afterwards? You will get some good advice on here cazbah and hope it all helps. Take care and welcome to the site. xxxx

I am a Newby also, so Welcome. Yes Sassy is right. You should always rinse your mouth, another suggestion is use them before you brush your teeth, and this way you kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Lol, I hope this helps you, Nadine 😉

Hi cazbah and welcome to our big happy family.

Sassy is right always rinse your mouth it does help.

I have my nebuliser and various inhalers and if I forget to rinse ( quite often I do) I have my Barry White voice he is a singer with a very husky voice, lol.

Keep well cazbah

My throat is constantly sore and giving out on me.

I have a deep voice too, which I noticed was getting deeper long before I was diagnosed. I just thought it was the smoking.

Sometimes, my voice seems to come from deep in the top of my chest. It's a very strange feeling.

I had this before diagnosis too so I don't think it is the meds but the copd. I always gargle after using the inhalers. xx

Do you sound like Barry White too?

Well, when I answer the phone I get called Mr. It's really embarassing sometimes, especially when they apologize profusely. Lol.

At least they are being respectful.

Welcome CaZahn

you definitely need to gargle and drink alot of fluids. Inhalers make your throat very dry. What stage copd are you? Maybe you can tell us more about yourself. Its easier to help you, if we know more about you. People on this forum are terrific. You will learn so much. Glad to meet you. 😊

I too have COPD and am on the same inhalers. I find that gargling with salt water after taking inhalers helps. At least hopefully I am also staving off infections as well as relieving dry throat.

All the best

I also get a husky voice sometimes unfortunately I sound more like Lee Marvin singing 'I was born under a wandering star'.
