Got place on PR Course and now cant attend tomorrow. In agony. Suffer with Hydrodentis supperativa and tomorrow would be second week of course but I am in too much pain to attend. What with that and my sleeping pattern to shot i.e. I go to be at 6am - always went to bed at 9 and woke at 7 - how has my life changed. Pain is awful

Oh Carrots it is awful. First had it when I had my first child. To say boil doesn't do it justice. Its large mass, in my case, under arm, groin, under breasts etc. Pain reaches a peak after 5 days an have to ride it

You poor thing Twinks, it sounds unbearable. Don't worry about PR. You can usually tag on to the end the ones you miss.

Just a thought, I've been reading the reviews for Manuka honey on Amazon today. People tell of amazing results with all sorts of ailments inside & out. Sure I read it had cured someone's excessive boils. I hope it clears very soon & you can get back to your kind of normal. Take care, hugs sent via space. Xxx

Awe thank you peegs. Because I have had this for 30 years, my children have grown up with it. No offence but it isn't boils. Hard to explain. Hard mass under armpit measuring 4 inches along by 3 inches down. Cant explain the pain. See that's what gets my children now and keeps me fro thinking I am overreacting.............. they have grown up seeing this and seeing me deal with it. I must admit - due to this, I do have a high pain threshold. So when I was diagnosed with COPD-they know how strong I am. From my first blog, I sound panicky - I;m not. I am still in denial of copd. 2 x rays and nothing showing up

Had 2 chest x rays and lots of blood tests Carrotts and say its clear. I suppose you can have COPD without it showing on x ray maybe. Hopefully they will give me CT Scan and if that shows COPD - then fine, I will get on with it x

Awe twinks that sounds just horrid. Hope they can get this under control for you so you feel well enough to return to pr. They are usually quite good and I am sure they will rearrange if necessary. Hope you're pain free soon.

Omg twinks poor you. I suffer with HS too and it can be soooo painful.

With HS you get infected boils and abcesses. They are red raw and extremely painful. There is not usually a head to them and the only treatment is antbiotics. If they get too bad they can be incised by a doctor or in severe cases by the hospital but they won't touch them while they are inflamed unless in severe cases so you have days of pain until the ab kick in. They can severely affect your life and limit what you can do. I always think by far the worse thing is the pain! It's constant and unremiting. Hope yours improves soon twinks and you can get back to your life.

Good Morning Twinks I hope that you feel a bit better today and you had some rest last night. It is very frustrating that you cant do the PR course - but maybe it just wasn't meant to be this time. Wishing a very speedy recovery TAD xx

Hello Tad and thank you. Whacked the heating on and having an easy day here. I will be back at PR next Friday and I am sure they will be ok with that. Don't want to miss out on this opportunity as nagged the GP enough to get on it !! Hope you and yours are well xx

Thank Flibberti. I used to be a great sleeper but since diagnosis, can only manage couple of hours at a time and usually com downstairs to sit on sofa. Now I think I have put sleeping pattern out of sync xx
