My lymphocytes have also been low for years doctor just marks it as normal.... anytime I have asked about it they tell me it means it will likely catch stuff easier...and thats its also likely to be the high dose inhaled steroid I'm on
I know that inhalers can affect it as well but I am not taking high doses of steriods all the time. My lung specialist has suggested seeing a heamatologist to discuss.
Ah well for me at least there is nothing else, my adrenal glands are suppressed my immune system is suppressed ... and they are because of steroids but without them I can't breathe
But immunology and the diabetes clinic (the people that look at cortisol) all said it was because of steroids and although not normal certainly not to be unexpected ... and to live with it
Personally, I take probiotics particularly during and after taking antibiotics. I'll also eat a diet loaded with them. A list can be found by doing a Google.
So do I and I take them on a regular basis that is why I am a little concerned. Especially as I always feel like I am fighting something off and on and off groin and neck pain 😩
No ive been making and eating my own yoghurt for years.... my lymphocytes are still low ... probably lower now (started antibiotics 3 days a week about a month ago)
Oh I see .I was taking antibiotics 3 times a week but stopped as my Dr said its not really recommended longer than 6 months but to be honest I think it might of helped as I wasn't always in pain then and didn't get many infections at all .Might discuss using them again and then retesting the lymphocytes after a month or so 🤔
Making my own yoghurt? .... its very interesting.... the things you learn about milk and yoghurt in different cultures .... for example in Bulgaria, bulgarian yoghurt was often part of a wedding gift from the parents (of either the bride or groom) and everyone had (probably not so much these days) a yoghurt culture of their own and they where used medicinally, to enhance food, to make sauces and so many things .... its quite surprising really
Thank you for sharing I guess I shouldn't worry too much then. My diet is great rich in vegetables and fruits I avoid dairy due to allergies and also with bread and pastas. Plenty of fish and lean meat.😊
