I did enjoy the input of the respiratory physios personally, the in-person encouragement to do more, and the social aspect of mixing with others with similar issues to myself.

But if that couldn’t happen in a group situation and only online, anything has to be better than nothing! 👍

I'd sign up for such a course, though I would much prefer an in the flesh refresher course. I find it easier to get motivated in a group with real tutors.

I have recently been offered the online course but I said I would prefer to go in person...I'm on the waiting list but it's only 1hr a week for 8 weeks unless I want to travel to another area x x

My problem at the moment is my hip, am in so much pain can't get out and about and not sleeping which doesn't help. With the lack of exercise my lungs are not so good so think i would benefit from an online course x

I did a PR course at a community centre. I found it really beneficial and there was 1 nurse and 1 physio plus healthcare guests to talk on a specialised subject sometimes. It was really helpful and reassuring talking to other people with similar problems. The exercise schedule was set for whatever level the person was capable of. I met some lovely people and we also had a laugh too. I would 100% recommend it to anyone. I also would do an online course happily. I actually missed going twice a week when the course finished, and I never expected the experience to be such a positive one. Definitely do the online course if you can. Good luck.

Thank you, what a lovely testimonial and so pleased it made a real difference. I have done both, but not used a stand alone app for it. I am a patient rep here in Gloucestershire and the NHS here is thinking about introducing the app for patients to use. So checking out peoples thoughts on using an app. Keep Well.

I did in line PR during lockdown. Although it was through an app, I could see and hear the other participants, so it felt very inclusive. Overall an enjoyable experience.

B I previously attended a PR course 13 years ago.

C I would love to do an online course but it’s not available in my area. I’ve been invited to attend another PR course but as I am a full time carer for my husband who is paralysed from a brain injury I’m unable to go. It could make quite a difference to managing my copd if I was able to do it online.

I think that it is a postcode lottery. My doctors don’t know anything about it.Mostly it seems that people with copd can get it. I do know that some bronchs have had it but very hit and miss

A) YesB) Probably not as I was horrified at the suggestion of pr when I was offered it initially. I was in a coma following resp. failure and excercise was the last thing on my mind. It was only the presence of amazing resp physios who kept me motivated.

C) I would definitely look at a pr app to see how it fitted into my existing exercise schedule and input from pr professionals would be invaluable.

C Over the last 10 years I have completed both a physical and app based PR course. I found both very useful. I did find the social interaction of the physical course beneficial but the app based course provided a lot of flexibility.

I pay a private physio for hour treatment twice weekly. I was born with PCD, and will be 88 in July. Never had any real guidance or treatment from NHS. Had to find consultant who was interested in PCD by paying to look on line 4 years ago of qualifications and interests of all in Midlands. Unsure how I could join your good work.

I would take part but i would much prefer in person. The people we meet at the meetings help to make us feel not so alone with are illness. Helps us make friends who understands what we are going through and can shear idears of what we can do to help arselves.

I did a face to face recently and found it really good and made lovely friends.

There was a physio and nurse at the sessions and they were really helpful and gave lots of helpful information
