My Doctors have not been in contact for my first annual review which should have been three weeks ago, should I wait a little bit more.

Call them and ask why the delay, or just expect that its due to government cut backs.

If it was me I would ring and make an appointment, some times things get missed.

Take care

yes your right but with everything else that's going on, I think they will get fed up seeing my face ..lol

I'm with Peta, best to make the appointment. And don't worry what they think. :)

I'm with Peta & Anna Redmod.

Dont leave it to them to ensure you get one. Just ring to make an appointment.

I wasn't called for my annual check last year, had presumed they knew what they were doing. I wasn't getting that I'm a small cog in a big wheel so I left it to them. It was 2 years between checks (with the respiritory nurse), consequently I was a whole year worse than I had been. Now on 6 monthly checks

Now I wont be letting anything slip by from GPs OR the hospital.

Yep, agree with Peta and Anna, make an appointment - they are there to look after you, they get handsomely paid for it so don't feel guilty in the slightest - apart from which if there are any changes to your condition they can sort it out and hopefully stop you from needing their future services too often. :) xx

Agree with everyone else, perhaps you should ring for an appointment especially if you are concerned. I have to have an annual check of COPD but have to make my own appointment, that is my experience.

Thank you everyone for your support, I went to the Doctors yesterday, found out that I now have vertigo, the practice nurse gave me some tablets, got home read the info and it said don't take if your are diabetic or on other medicines that were on the list, ok no harm done but only because I had the mind set to read the info of the drugs first, so lesson, don't always believe what's given to you to take is safe.

Still have not been given a date for my COPD review.
